The Silva Ranger S is a targeting compass equipped with a mirror that allows simultaneous observation of the magnetic dial and a selected point in the field, which allows accurate bearing over long distances. The aiming hole in the mirror supports precise direction setting and improves control of the line of march.
The model uses a rotating capsule that works with the SILVA 1-2-3 System navigation method. A declination scale located inside the capsule allows correction of the difference between magnetic and geographic north without additional calculations. The base plate is equipped with a millimeter scale and map scales of 1:25,000 and 1:50,000, allowing direct transfer of distances from topographic maps.
The rubberized grip improves the stability of holding the compass in the hand, even in wet or cold conditions and with tactical gloves. Luminescent markings make it possible to read the indications in limited lighting, and the 45° angle assist function makes it easier to work with indirect directions. The compass is waterproof and suitable for heavy use in the field.
Attention: A lanyard for the compass is included in the back of the package.
