Ka-Bar BK21 - Becker/Reinhardt Kukri Machete
Becker / Reinhardt Kukri Machete Ka-Bar BK21
BK21 Becker Reinhardt machete with a Kukri blade profile from Ka-Bar. Based on the machetes used by members of the Gurkha tribe who have been using this type of knife for over 150 years in the service of the British Empire. It was designed in collaboration with Ethan Becker and Estate of Hank Reinhardt. On the blade is the signature of the legendary knifemaker and expert on white weapons, who died in 2007.
The machete is made from a single piece of heavy duty 1095 Cro-Van with a hardness of 56-58 HRC. The 4.8 mm thick knife blade has been covered with matte black paint to protect against corrosion and glare. The Kukri blade is ideal for heavy-duty field work such as cutting bushes, branches and grass, preparing shelter and even trimming game. The appropriate thickness of the blade and the transfer of the center of gravity to the front of the blade makes the work much easier
The handle with the shape known from other Becker knives is made of the patented, almost indestructible BASF Ultramid® material in black. The cross-shaped handle at the bottom of the handle prevents the hand from slipping onto the blade. The hole at its end allows for the installation of a security cord.
The set includes a polyester sheath reinforced with a stiff plastic. It fits tactical belts up to 75 mm wide.
