The Helikon-Tex® Defender Mk2 short sleeve PolyCo Ripstop shirt is a practical option for warmer days. It has a full button placket and a classic collar that holds its shape even after washing. The ripstop fabric, woven in a fine "check" pattern, is slower to wear through and hooks less on equipment, while the cotton/polyester blend is breathable and wicks away moisture faster, so it's easier to keep your neck and back dry.
There are four pockets on the chest: two patch pockets with Velcro flaps for quick access, and two flat napoleon-type pockets with YKK® zippers, hidden in vertical cuts - documents, a notepad or phone have their place and don't broaden the silhouette. The regular cut doesn't restrict movement and doesn't interfere with the waist; the seams are routed so they don't chafe under the suspenders or backpack strap, and the edges are finished smoothly so nothing irritates the skin.
The material dries faster than classic cotton and is easy to refresh after a busy day. The overall design promotes order in small accessories and provides predictable, quick access to them at work, on the range and in the field - it complements well with ballistic glasses.
