The Spyderco Endura 4 is a folding knife with a 97mm long blade made of VG-10 stainless steel. It features a clip point blade with a flat Saber grind, which promotes precision cutting while maintaining good edge strength. When folded, the knife measures less than 130 mm, making it fit easily into a pocket or kidney bag.
The handle is made of black fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN). The structure with bi-directional notches also improves grip when the hand is wet or working with gloves. Inside the handle, steel liners are used to increase the rigidity of the entire structure.
The Back-Lock mechanism with an additional Boye notch, which prevents accidental release of the lock during pressure, is responsible for stable retention of the blade. The knife is equipped with a four-position steel clip, allowing it to be carried in tip-up or tip-down orientation, either on the right or left side. An opening in the blade allows for quick one-handed opening without changing the grip. The smoothness of the blade's movement is supported by phosphor bronze washers.
