Thanks to collaboration with Emerson Knives, the blade has gained an Emerson Wave that makes it much easier to open the blade. As you pull the knife out of the pocket, Wave catches the edge of the pocket and opens the blade.
The head - with a Leaf-Shaped profile, 2.5 mm thick. Manufactured from Japanese stainless steel VG-10 (easy to sharpen, well holding sharpness), hardened between 59-61 HRC. Reflective-eliminating Satin Finish coating (half-matt). Plain smooth blade with Full Flat Grind. The flat grind provides a perfect cutting edge geometry with a sharp tip and reduces the weight of the blade. The SpyderHole round cut-out (Spyderco patent) allows you to open the knife with your thumb. Robust Back-Lock with additional Boye Detent to prevent accidental release of the lock when the knife is gripped firmly. Corrugated thumb ramp and Finger Choil profiled index finger cut-out between handle and cutting edge make it easy to operate the knife.
Handle - black. Made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), has a two-way anti-slip Bi-Directional Texturing for a perfect grip, even with greasy or wet hands. The notched ramp and the back of the handle, the so-called Spine Jimping, increase the grip security. Screw-on wire clip (left/right) allows to carry the knife in tip-up position. A lanyard hole in the back of the handle.
