FOX - Folding Knife Karambit Emerson Opener - FX-599
Karambit - a kind of knife that was born in Indonesia, with roots going back to Malaysia and the Philippines. It is characterized by an inverted handle with an opening for the index finger. The rounded shape of the blade is very effective in cutting - the blade imitates the way a tiger's claw tears - piercing and cutting.
Emerson Opener (Emerson Wave) - the karambit has an Ernest Emerson patented hook on the back of the head that allows for quick opening of the blade when removing the knife from the pocket by attaching the hook to the edge of the pocket.
Blade - 3 mm thick with aggressive Hawkbill profile, the rounded blade shape is characterized by great efficiency and cutting speed. Plain smooth blade with an ultra-thin tip and excellent curvature for maximum cutting performance. The blade is made of Austrian stainless steel Böhler-Uddeholm's N690Co, high carbon steel with added cobalt for structural uniformity. Hardened between 58-60 HRC. Head covered with black, scratch-resistant, matt non-reflective PTFE coating. Single-sided steel dace and corrugated thumb ramp on the back of the head facilitate efficient knife handling. The thumb hole and the Flipper enable quick opening of the blade even in the gloves. Blade secured with Liner-Lock.
Grip - anti-slip textured scales made of Black G-10 plastic with Rouge-type texture for better grip. Spine Jimping notch on the back of the handle increases comfort and grip reliability even with wet hands. Metal screw-on clip makes it easy to carry the knife in tip-up position (tip up, right/left). The end of the handle is finished with a rounded polished ring-shaped head (finger ring) allowing for traditional knife techniques - it makes it easy to quickly turn the knife around the finger located in the head opening.
