Solid performance
The body of the Fenix TK30 flashlight is constructed using A6061-T6 tempered aluminum , subjected to the HA-III hard anodizing process. The wear-resistant oxide coating permanently protects the tube and the flashlight head against scratches and abrasion.
The flashlight is neat and light (146 g) , has a small size (158 mm) , which allows it to be mounted on a weapon. Thanks to the transverse knurling of the surface and the use of the geometric profile of the head, the flashlight is very stable in the hand and does not roll off inclined surfaces, moreover, it has a detachable steel clip that allows you to quickly attach the flashlight to a belt, gear or pocket edge
Designed with head
The light source is a laser emitter generating a flux of a maximum of 500 lumens. The flashlight uses a white laser wave which, after hitting a fluorescent phosphor reflector , is transformed by the optical system into a wide spectrum of white light.
The wave that passes through the three-layer lens creates a concentrated white laser beam similar to the band produced by a diode. White laser lighting maintains high collimation properties. The optical system removes the harmful effects that usually occur in monochrome light, which makes the flashlight safe to use.
Modes of operation
The flashlight uses 3 light modes: high, low and strobe. The manufacturer has deliberately minimized the number of modes to the most frequently used and most useful ones, because the simple interface affects the ease and speed of use.
There are two buttons to operate the flashlight - the rear tactical switch is responsible for turning the flashlight on and off, as well as for the momentary light. The side switch is responsible for changing the modes.
Power
The flashlight is powered by a 21700 USB cell with a capacity of 5000 mAh . The battery used has twice the capacity of the standard 18650 cell, affecting the efficiency and long working time. In the maximum mode of 500 lumens, the flashlight works for 180 minutes. Two springs (at both poles) are used in the battery compartment to keep the cell in the correct position. Thanks to this, the TK30 is resistant to the recoil of the weapon or a fall. The battery uses an innovative charging system via the USB-C port . It is worth noting that the charging cable comes with the flashlight.
In addition, the diode located in the side switch warns the user about low voltage, allows you to monitor the energy reserve and control the operation of this flashlight.
Security
Several security systems are used in the flashlight, incl. reverse polarity protection, low voltage warning and intelligent overheating protection. The high protection class IP68 makes the flashlight resistant to complete immersion in water (30 minutes at a depth of 2 m), dust, dirt and fall.
