The Umarex Glock 17 Gen4 CO₂ replica is equipped with a blowback system for greater realism in shooting. The slide is made of steel, the frame skeleton is made of polymer. It is powered by a CO₂ 12 g capsule housed in a magazine that holds 18 6 mm BB bullets. The trigger mechanism operates in Single Action mode. For greater protection of the user, the replica has a slide safety and trigger-tongue safety.
The replica is equipped with a hop-up adjustment for correcting the flight path of the BB bullet. Like the prototype, it has fixed front and rear sights. Under the barrel is a Weaver rail for mounting a weapon flashlight or laser target indicator. The replica achieves kinetic energy of less than 1.3 J and a discharge velocity of up to 107 m/s.
