Giant Mamba is a tanto knife with a durable full tang construction manufactured by the renowned Italian company Extrema Ratio. This model will meet the expectations of fans of the Japanese style of the blade line, who are also looking for a firm grip on the tactical handle and a stiff sheath that allows comfortable carrying and drawing of the knife. The strength and versatility of the blade capable of withstanding extreme bending loads are the flagship features of this model.
The 6.3 mm thick knife blade is equipped with blood groves on both sides. The smooth blade (plain) has a flat cut, which in combination with the tanto shape makes the knife easy to sharpen with any sharpener, and the cutting edge retains its sharpness for a long time even with intensive use. The production uses high-cobalt stainless steel N690 with a hardness of 58 HRC supplied by the Austrian Böhler steelworks, thanks to which the Giant Mamba model is characterized by excellent strength parameters.
The handle of the Giant Mamba knife is clad in thermoplastic elastomer Forprene. This allows for a combination of flexibility, softness and chemical resistance. The handle provides a secure grip also when used with wet hands. The steel head has an enlarged paracord opening and can act as a glass breaker or hammer.
The nylon sheath with protection against falling out was made by injection molding, which allowed for an openwork structure that reduces the weight and facilitates drying of the blade. In addition, it has a dedicated vibration damping system to prevent the blade from rattling during transport. The holster can be mounted to vests, backpacks and other equipment with the MOLLE / PALLS mounting system. It can also be attached to the thigh with the Velcro strap at the bottom.
