SAM® Chest Seal from SAM Medical, for securing open chest wounds while transporting the injured person to hospital. It protects the wound from external factors and prevents the occurrence of potentially life-threatening pneumothorax.
The set includes two self-adhesive dressings, covered with hydrogel agent, allowing multiple peeling and sticking of the patch to ventilate the wound. The patch adheres securely to the skin, even if covered with blood, water or sand.
SAM® Chest Seal dressings are larger than usual, and their oval shape with two handles makes them easy to apply and remove. Both the dressing itself and its packaging have been visually optimized for low visibility or with night vision - it offers very good contrast, and is well visible in low light.
