All-nylon Type III paracord cord from EDCX. With a total thickness of 4 mm and a core of 7 strands, the nylon reaches a strength of up to 250 kilograms (550 pounds). The materials used show resistance to wear and UV radiation. In addition, the rope, when exposed to fire, melts instead of burning which can be useful when securing a cut piece.
The easiest way to carry the cord with you besides packing it in a military backpack will be to tie it around, for example, a handle, grip, body or other girthy piece of equipment. A distinct advantage of paracord as a key component of a user's gear is the combination of low weight and high strength. The wide spectrum of applications allows you to use the cord in many creative ways.
