The DeltaPoint Pro model is dedicated to be mounted on handgun, however, it will also work as a minimalist sight on rifles after using the appropriate adapter.
The housing of the DeltaPoint Pro is made of durable, anodized aluminum, with the method of precise milling and the additional sealing makes the red dot sight can be immersed in water up to a depth of 10 meters. The red dot sight is also resistant to evaporation and fog, so it can be used in conditions of increased air humidity.
An additional proof of the durability of the structure is the manufacturer's test on a specially designed Punisher machine. It simulates the firing of 5,000 shots, generating shocks three times greater than the recoil of a .308 caliber bullet, so you can be sure the Leupold sight can be successfully used on any firearm.
The premium lens with black edges used in the red dot sight provides a bright and clear image, and also reduces the effect of parallax. The aiming point in the form of a red dot with a size of 2.5 MOA allows precise aiming and is easy to find by the shooter just after folding into the shooting position. Adjustment vertically and horizontally in the range of 60 MOA is done using two knobs moving the dot by 1 MOA per click.
The sight also has functions that significantly increase its functionality by the possibility of mounting a dedicated rear sight (not included) in the rear part of the red dot sight, giving the shooter an emergency solution for extreme situations such as optics failure after starting shooting.
The red dot sight sight has a Motion Sensor Technology (MST) sensor that automatically turns off the highlighting of the dot after 5 minutes of inactivity. The illumination is restarted after moving the weapon or changing its position, thanks to which the red dot sight is able to work up to 1600 hours on one CR2032 battery.
The manufacturer took care of the high user comfort by using one button to change the light intensity and easy battery replacement. Thanks to this solution, the shooter can dynamically adapt to changing weather or lighting conditions, and in the event of low battery charge, he will be informed about it by a dedicated cell discharge indicator. The battery replacement itself does not require the use of specialized tools, so it can be performed in the field.
