High quality VX-Freedom rifle scope from the renowned Leupold company, specializing in the design and production of professional shooting optics for firearms. A scope with variable approximation of 3-9x is suitable for precise shooting at medium and long distances, and the technologies used in it improving the image quality allow its use in unfavorable lighting conditions, e.g. late twilight.
The construction of the tube with a diameter of 30 mm is made of anodized 6061-T6 aviation aluminum, thanks to which the VX-Freedom hunting scope has a high resistance to mechanical damage, vibrations caused by the recoil of the weapon as well as a low weight of only 485 g. The whole thing has been specially sealed, which allows it to be used in wet and rainy conditions, and the inside of the telescope is filled with gas to ensure resistance to evaporation.
The use of a 30 mm tube allowed for a greater range of reticle adjustment compared to other models with an inch tube. The full adjustment range of the cross is 60 MOA vertically and horizontally, while the low-profile turrets with knurled walls have 1/4 MOA adjustment and are easy to use also with tactical gloves.
A characteristic feature of Leupold products is the emphasis on image quality and brightness. That is why in the VX-Freedom telescope the optical system consists of premium lenses and the Twilight system responsible for high light transmission, as well as for a significant reduction of stray light. The final image that reaches the shooter's eye is thus bright, contrasting, deep and sharp even at the edges, allowing you to quickly find and identify the target even in the early morning or at dusk.
The large distance of the exit pupil means that the shooting scope can also be easily used by users with visual impairment who use corrective lenses. On the other hand, the quick adjustment of the image sharpness is made using the knurled Fast Focus ring.
In the VX-Freedom scope the manufacturer used a reticle in the foreground (First Focal PLane) Twilight Hunter with the aiming point highlighted. It consists of 4 arms 3.4 MOA which tapers halfway smoothly into hairline beams 0.4 MOA. Such a minimalist and legible net allows for precise and, above all, quick shooting in various lighting conditions.
In addition, the FireDot fiber optic aiming point intuitively shifts the shooter's eyesight to the center of the net, which further affects the speed of the dot positioning on the target. Eight-step illumination adjustment is made using the button on the side of the telescope. The first four settings are dedicated to operation in low light conditions, the others to operation in full sunlight. A wide range of adjustments allows you to adjust the backlight to the shooter's preferences, as well as the prevailing conditions and time of day.
