The HoneyBee miniature stainless steel Bug Series knife from Spyderco. It has a pocket-sized design that allows it to be carried in a pants pocket, on a paracord around the neck, or simply as a keyring on a key ring. It weighs less than 20 grams, so regardless of the form of use it will not weigh the user down in any way.
The Clip Point profile blade is made, like the handle, from 3Cr13 stainless steel. It is characterized by a large admixture of chromium, which is resistant to rusting. The blade can be extended using the patented SpyderHole™ circular cutout, it provides a secure point of support for, for example, the thumb or index finger during the opening motion.
Despite its compact size, the blade's thickness of nearly 2 mm allows you to perform basic tasks. When doing so, it is important to make sure that target actions focus on working the blade in the opposite direction to the closing direction to minimize the risk of accidentally folding the blade. The smooth blade has been machined with a Full Flat Grind and finished with a satin coating to eliminate reflections and glare.
Closer to the foot of the handle is a smooth hole. The previously mentioned paracord or key ring, or even a lanyard, can be threaded through it, so that the knife can be retrieved efficiently when needed. The minimalist design of the HoneyBee knife is accentuated by the engraving of the company's logo and name on the handle and the base of the blade, respectively.
