Made of plastic and coated with aluminium, this solar lighter from Fox Outdoor. The compact design allows the device to be easily transported in a hiking backpack.
The lighter allows you to start a fire using sunlight. The tinder is inserted into a metal spring placed on an extension arm at a suitable distance from the surface of a parabolic mirror, which reflects the sun's rays. The appropriate concentration of the sun's rays ignites the igniting material.
The solar lighter is made of aluminium-coated plastic, making it very light, and the diameter of 10 cm allows for easy transport. In an emergency situation, the solar lighter can be used as a signal mirror.
