L7AWM20 magazine, with a composite structure made of steel-reinforced polymer, produced by Lancer, intended for the SR25 / SIG 716 / LaRue OBR rifles. Designed to maintain the lightness of polymer magazines, while significantly enhancing their strength.
The composite structure combines the lightness of a polymer with the strength of steel
The magazine body, bottom plate and feeder are made of thick, durable polymer. The body has a clear texturing to improve the grip in gloves, or while covered in slippery dirt. Used polymer complies with military standards in terms of mechanical endurance and chemical resistance. It also retains its properties in the temperature range from - 20°C up to 80°C.
The feed lips, the clip at the rear of the magazine, an attachment tooth, a stiffening strap running along the front of the magazine, and a spring are made of steel. Steel elements are more resistant to intensive use and resistant to long-term storage
The magazine has a capacity of 20 rounds of 7.62x51 mm / .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition. The bottom has a lockable drainage hole. To get to it, you need to slide the magazine bottom out. Water or dust escapes through two pairs of holes located on the front and the back of the bottom plate.
NOTE: The magazine is not compatible with the AR-10B, SCAR17, HK 417, M1A, LAR8, PTR-91 rifles, and other constructions using HK 91 / G3, FN FAL and M14-pattern magazines.
