The housing of the BC26R bicycle flashlight is made of anodized A6061-T6 aviation aluminum . This and the exact sealing of the entire structure allows it to meet the IP68 standard and thus it is resistant to a fall from a height of 1 meter, dust and dust do not penetrate into it and it can be completely submerged in water. This makes it possible to use it practically in all weather conditions without fear of losing the light source during long bicycle trips.
In the set with the BC26R bicycle flashlight, the manufacturer provides bicycle assembly, for the operation of which no tools are required. The very fastening of the flashlight to the assembly takes place by immediate connection. Likewise, when it is necessary to leave the bicycle in a public place, the user can release it easily by pressing the release lever and take it away. Along with the assembly, there are silicone overlays that allow the handle to be adjusted to the diameter of the steering wheel in the range from 28 to 35 mm and adjustable inclination of the flashlight in the range of 15°.
One metal button on the side of the flashlight is used to start, turn off and switch between light modes. Intuitive and quick operation is the undoubted advantage of the flashlight that serves as a lighting for cyclists, especially in crowded cities, where constant observation of the surroundings and high concentration is especially recommended. The button allows you to choose between four constant light modes: low, medium, high and turbo and one flashing mode. The BC26R bicycle light also has a memory function. When restarted, it will activate the last used light mode.
The modern Luminus diode generates a light beam with power of 1600 lumens and a range of up to 169 m in turbo mode, which allows you to react early enough to possible emergencies on the road. The large stream width of 100° makes it much easier to observe the terrain on winding routes. In addition, the manufacturer has placed in the casing an increased dome of the diffuser and side openings, thanks to which other road users are able to better notice an oncoming cyclist, e.g. from a side street. This improves comfort and safety of all road users.
To power the BC26R bicycle flashlight, the manufacturer used ARB-L21-5000 battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh providing almost 10 hours of operation in high mode (600 lumens). The battery is charged via the built-in USB-C port after connecting the flashlight with a cable to any power source such as a power bank, laptop, desktop computer or car USB charger. Fully charge the battery in just 4 hours thanks to the high charging current of 2 Amps. While charging, it is possible to use the flashlight in low and medium modes.
The battery charge level is displayed by the LED indicator in the metal button. Low battery warning is triggered automatically when the defined voltage level drops (blinking LED of the battery level indicator). The BC26R bicycle flashlight also has overheating protection in turbo mode. In order to lower the temperature, the controller reduces the brightness level by a few lumens, which allows you to restart the turbo mode.
