This tool is the answer to the need for a long-blade saw that is convenient to transport. The SOG folding saw has a blade length of 210 mm, and the length of the tool after closing is 240 mm. Thanks to this, it is very effective, and at the same time, it is convenient to transport, strapped to the waist, backpack, or put in a bag.
The blade is made of a hardened, tempered high carbon steel, secured with a black coating. It is characterized by high resistance to blunting and corrosion. The style of the teeth is specially adapted to the effective cutting of hardwoods. Thanks to the knob lock, the blade can be released, pulled out, and replaced with a new one.
Blade lock ensures safe work
The main lock has the form of a large and easy-to-use button. The blade can be blocked in two positions: straight and with 90° angle. This allows the shape of the tool to be adapted to the selected task.
The handle has a stainless steel frame and is covered with rubber. Both the material and the texturing improve the grip, and the shape is ergonomic and protects the hand from slipping. This makes it easy to make strong and deep cuts, and as a result, cut pieces of wood and branches more efficiently.
The set includes a ballistic nylon sheath. It is closed with a flap with a Velcro, and can be attached to the waist or expedition backpack. Durable and tight material protects the saw against weather conditions, and the whole is a convenient way of transporting the tool.
