The SLx prismatic sight from Primary Arms features an etched ACSS BDC sighting reticle and fixed 5x magnification. This means that the sight is designed for observation at longer distances, due to a sizable magnification order. An additional Picatinny rail located on top of the unit allows mounting additional compatible equipment.
The etched sighting reticle may or may not be illuminated when aiming. This means that when the battery is low or conditions are exceptionally favorable, the user will not need illumination. On the other hand, when there is a need to highlight the aiming point, green and red illumination are put at the user's disposal in this model.
The reticle's aiming point is based on an inverted chevron, that is, a literal widened letter V rotated by 180°. In this configuration, the narrowest point of the chevron is the correct mark for aiming, while the horizontal lines below are scales for working at a longer distance. The user can adjust the reticle illumination in a total of 10 degrees, 5 for green and 5 for red.
The sight is mounted on a classic Picatinny 22mm mounting rail. The mounting is based on two pairs of claws, which allows for stable support of the device. Power supply is via a single CR2032 battery.
