Designed for advanced users and professionals, the Swedish map compass with mirror Silva Expedition S features high readability, durability and accuracy.
This is the latest version of this model with a new, clearer color scheme, a clearer needle and directional line, and a lanyard with printed scales of 1:25,000 and 1:50,000. The scales, thanks to their placement on a soft, easy-to-bend tape, can be applied to the route on the map, increasing the accuracy of the reading.
The set also includes a card that, by measuring the gaps between the horizontals on the map, will show us the average angle of the terrain in which we will be marching, and will inform us if we are entering an area potentially at risk of snow avalanches.

The rotating dial features a handle made of DryFlex™ rubber for a secure and comfortable grip. Three silicone feet make it easy to work with the map with precision.
The lanyard for hanging around the neck has a special clasp that undoes itself when the lanyard becomes too tight.
Terra series compasses are made using recycled materials to reduce the amount of CO2 emitted in their production. The Terra Ranger S has a lid and ring made of REVO plastic - a blend of recycled polymer and plant fibers.
