Benchmade - EDC Knife Claymore - Automatic - Ranger Green - 9071BK-1
Folding Automatic EDC Knife Claymore Ranger Green Benchmade 9071BK-1
The Benchmade 9071BK-1 Claymore is an OTS automatic knife whose reliable design is inspired by one of the most famous directional mines. The blade uses premium CPM-D2 steel, and lightweight Grivory laminate liners. In addition, an armored locking mechanism ensures reliability. The result is a lightweight and reliable tactical knife for those looking for uncompromising solutions.
The blade is made of durable CPM-D2 steel hardened to 60-62 HRC. CPM-D2 is a powdered variant of air-hardened D2 steel, but with much higher strength and a modified carbide microstructure, resulting in significant improvements in wear resistance, abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance. However, it is worth remembering to properly maintain the knife so that it can last for many years.
The tanto blade is coated with a black Cerakote finish, which protects against corrosion, minor scratches, and emphasizes the tactical character of the knife. The blade features a flat grind, ensuring smooth cutting. These parameters guarantee the functionality and durability of the knife. This knife model does not have a serrated blade, making it even more resistant to mechanical damage.
The main advantage of the automatic knife, is the convenient Push Button Auto instant unfolding system. In an automatic knife, unfolding the blade requires only pressing a button, which is responsible for releasing the lock and activating the spring. To fold the blade, you only need to press the button again and manually retract the blade. The enlarged release button is embedded in a milled cutout, so it does not protrude above the handle. The knife uses an additional lock to prevent accidental unfolding of the blade.
The Benchmade 9071BK-1 Claymore has contoured Grivory plastic liners in Ranger Green. The laminate used is characterized by light weight, high mechanical strength, resistance to water, temperature change, as well as many acids and solvents. The handle, which is distinguished by a modern tactical design, primarily provides a stable and comfortable grip even with tactical gloves.
The handle in the central part and at the base of the knife is wider, and its surface has been applied with mottled inserts to ensure a firm grip. To increase the reliability and strength of the design, the knife uses skeletonized steel liners. Discreet carrying of the knife in the pocket is made possible by a high-set clip with the possibility of attachment on two sides of the liners.
