HIKMICRO Lynx 2.0 infrared band thermal imaging camera from HIKVISION. It allows the user to observe a designated area based on the temperature difference occurring in objects. The human eye naturally cannot perceive waves in the infrared spectrum, but the monocular's built-in VOx Uncooled Focal Plane Arrays 12 μm sensor with 384x288 px resolution already does.
The NETD's high thermal sensitivity of less than 20 mK, combined with a 0.39" OLED screen, makes it possible to display an image composed of more than 110,000 measured points at 50 Hz. In addition, the recorded image can be displayed in one of four modes - Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot and Fusion. The design of the eyepiece with a shield allows you to comfortably put your eye to the device.
The camera can be comfortably operated even with tactical gloves, this is possible due to the large and rubberized buttons on the top of the housing. The device is powered by a replaceable 18650 battery with a capacity of 3200 mAh. You can use a 3.6-volt, 19x70mm battery or an external power supply such as a powerbank with 5V DC/2A specifications, via a USB-C port, which can be used to charge the battery.
The device's aluminum housing is highly resistant to damage, and thanks to its sealing it meets the IP67 waterproof rating standard. The 15mm-diameter lens has a fixed focus, which, despite being non-adjustable, provides a larger baseline field of view, thanks to a magnification order of 1.4x. In doing so, it can still be adjusted for dioptric angle.
The camera allows you to record or take photos, which can be stored in the built-in 16GB eMMC memory. In addition, the monocular has a static rangefinder function, which can estimate the approximate distance of the user from the object being measured. The camera's base zoom can be increased up to eight times, thanks to the implemented zoom.
