The ARM52 adapter from Rusan, which allows the user to use a night vision or thermal imaging cap in tandem with a spotting scope. At the same time, an important feature of the device - the QR lever allows the user to quickly mount or remove the device from the scope when it is not needed. ARM52 can be successfully used on scopes with an external objective diameter of 65 mm.
For some thermal or night vision devices, a reduction ring may be required to allow it to be screwed onto the adapter. Once the kit is assembled, consisting of the cap, ring and adapter, the whole thing is operated via levers that adjust the clamp on the lens hood. Thus, it is important for the user to properly adjust the clamp on the scope so as not to damage the inner lens.
A properly adjusted set should overlap the body of the scope by a minimum of 3.5 mm, but appropriately it can also be 6 mm. Such a contact surface ensures a rigid connection, which is further improved by lining the interior of the adapter with a special film, which further protects it from scratches. Rusan adapters are adapted for mounting on Weaver rails by means of a separately available component.
