The Bailout folding knife from Benchmade features an extremely light weight while maintaining the necessary durability as an EDC tool. Benchmade has always relied on thoughtful and simple designs, and this is also the case with the Bailout knife. More than one option for attaching the knife will allow you to customize your carry. This consists of a repositionable steel clip and a hole in the foot for pulling a paracord cord.
The Tanto-type blade made of CPM S30V stainless steel is distinguished by a Rockwell hardness of about 60 HRC. The Grivory GFN polymer handle is lightweight and tries to replicate steel in terms of strength. The gentle profiling of the handle, especially under the thumb, helps you grip the entire tool more securely. Axis Lock protects against accidental locking of the blade, and having a knack for its use allows you to quickly fold the blade.
A thumb stud on both sides is used to extend the blade, which allows you to open it with one hand and a smooth motion. Geometric texturing of most surfaces of the handle puts another element under the hand to improve the ergonomics of the user's handling. Aiming for a weight truly in line with the EDC philosophy, the Bailout achieves a weight of less than 70 grams.
