The Iridium folding knife from Kershaw, a company characterized by modern design, angular edges and solid materials. The Reverse Tanto profile blade uses M390 stainless steel with a high HRC Rockwell hardness. The blade material itself shows high resistance against potential negative effects of corrosion. Just above the double-sided thumb stud used for opening, the manufacturer has used transverse notches to support the thumb or forefinger when working with the tool.

The handle, meanwhile, is made of carbon fiber with a contoured undercut under the locking mechanism to properly grip the knife. The locking mechanism uses DuraLock, which is a proprietary variant of Crossbar Lock, which is equivalent to Axis Lock.
