KTJ - Cold Blackening System Oxyda - Liquid - 50 ml - OKS05
Cold Blackening System Oxyda Liquid 50 ml KTJ OKS05
Oxyda liquid that produces an anti-corrosive and matt coating on the surface of steel or cast iron from KTJ. When applied to a degreased surface, a black layer of 0.2 to 30 μm thickness is produced. Cold oxidation allows the entire process to be carried out at room temperature. This means that the user can make the desired surface resistant to oxidation under basic conditions without specialized equipment.
The liquid is suitable for various steel or iron surfaces on weapons, hardware, antiques, knives or even multitools. The surfaces in question must be cleaned and degreased before applying the oxide. The blackener is distinguished by its extremely thin, yet effective protective layer. This makes it an alternative to coatings such as zinc, paint or varnish, which may prove too thick for a given application.
Features:
- Blackening system for steel or cast iron surfaces
- Cold application, no specialized tools required
- Is able to protect cracks, holes, as well as threads
- Forms a thin protective layer with anti-corrosive properties
- Can be applied in multiple coats to achieve a satisfactory effect
- Bottle with convenient applicator
- An alternative to galvanizing, varnish, paint or enamel
