The Mustang MK II Inner Belt Hook from Direct Action dedicated as an immobilizing layer for the actual shooting belt. The construction of the belt is fully nylon, which translates into a uniform form, as well as low weight. The belt retention system is based on matching the inner belt to the circumference of the user, and then Velcro hooks to the webbing of the target shooting belt.
A properly applied inner belt should physically prevent the shooting belt from moving. Consequently, the user must take care to properly adjust the circumference within the polymer buckle. In doing so, it should be noted that the contact of the belt's nylon laminate against the wearer's clothing will generate baseline fabric resistance, which in itself will reduce the inertia of the equipment.
The low profile of the belt achieved through the use of the nylon laminate should minimize the protrusion of the equipment. In addition, the Velcro hooks have been redesigned to minimize rubbing and thus wiping of clothing. In doing so, care should be taken to ensure that the shooting belt has loops compatible with the Velcro hooks used.
