The Mark4 version of the Earmor M31 ear protectors are active headphones that attenuate noise above 82 dB. They effectively protect hearing while amplifying ambient sounds with two directional microphones. Compared to the previous generation, the new model of Earmor's ear protectors has a shorter response time and features five levels of volume control.
They allow for spatial sound pickup, which is especially important in tactical situations or at the shooting range, where orientation in the field is needed. The Mark4 has a pressure response time of less than 1 ms. Such a fast response of the ear protectors allows you to stay safely in a noisy environment for a long time.
At the factory, the headphones come with silicone earbuds, filled with silicon gel. Additional interchangeable inserts made of PVC-covered foam are included. This allows users to customize their ear protectors to their personal preferences and increase the comfort of the ear muffs.
The modular design of the headphones allows them to be mounted directly on a tactical helmet, using special adapters. The adapters are designed for mounting on ARC, EXFIL and M-LOK systems. Powered by two AAA batteries, mounted one in each canopy, the ear protectors can operate in active mode for up to 60 hours.
The polymer housing meets the IPX5 waterproof rating. This makes them safe to use even in the rain. The ear protectors are packaged in a protective, padded case with a handle. It also comes with a carrying pouch that takes up less space in your range bag, still protecting the earmuffs from scratches.
