The Vizz 550 RGB MPLS tactical headlamp from Princeton Tec offers a variety of carrying options. It has a total of five LEDs, providing four different colors of light. The user can illuminate the space with white, red, green, or blue light. The polymer housing of the flashlight is sealed, making it IPX7 waterproof.
Carrying options include a standard flexible headlamp strap, a clip for mounting on a MOLLE system, and a helmet clip. This means that the flashlight can be conveniently carried in a backpack or on the MOLLE webbing of a tactical vest. The white light of the flashlight can generate a beam with a power of up to 550 lm and a range of up to 95 meters.
The flashlight is operated by a single button on the top of the housing. Basically, single clicks switch between RGB colored lights, and only holding the button for about a second activates the white light. In addition, in white light mode, the brightness of the light can be smoothly adjusted by holding the button down immediately after turning it on.
The flashlight can be locked to prevent accidental activation by holding the button for five seconds; each press of the button in this mode will only cause the red LED to flash. To unlock the flashlight from this mode, hold the button for five seconds again. The flashlight can be powered by three AAA batteries, both alkaline and lithium, as well as rechargeable batteries.
