The Helikon-Tex® Defender Mk2 Tropical Shirt® is a lightweight variant aimed at high temperatures. The cut is based on a full button placket and a collar that stabilizes the positioning at the neck. The chest area features four pockets with varying access: two patch pockets with Velcro-fastened flaps and two flat napoleon pockets with zippers, hidden in vertical cuts.
Under the armpits are mesh ventilation panels to improve air exchange in areas prone to heat accumulation. The low water absorption fabric promotes moisture transport and reduces drying time after exposure to sweat or precipitation. Stretch fabric reduces drag on the arms and torso. The stitching and pocket placement allow for comfortable carrying of lightweight gear at the waist and in layering.
A loop for hanging goggles or ID has been placed on the trim. Fasteners use repetitive-pitch buttons, and zippers operate smoothly for quick access to flat compartments without adding to the silhouette's contour. The Dark Olive color maintains a neutral, low-contrast presence in urban and off-road environments.
