FOX - Black Bird Karambit by Bastinelli - FX-591
Karambit - a kind of knife that was born in Indonesia, with roots going back to Malaysia and the Philippines. It is characterized by an inverted handle with an opening for the index finger. The rounded shape of the blade is very effective in cutting - the blade imitates the way a tiger's claw tears - piercing and cutting.
Blade - 3 mm thick with aggressive Hawkbill profile, rounded shape is characterized by great efficiency and speed of cutting. The Hawkbill profile imitates the way the eagle's claws tear (piercing and simultaneous cutting). Plain smooth blade with an ultra-thin tip and excellent curvature for maximum cutting performance. The blade is made of Austrian stainless steel Böhler-Uddeholm's N690Co, high carbon steel with cobalt for structural uniformity. The blade is hardened between 58-60 HRC. The blade has a black, scratch-resistant, matt non-reflective PTFE coating. Corrugated thumb ramp on the back of the blade for easy knife handling. Liner-Lock.
Handle - non-slip G-10 Black plastic scales (durable, resistant to high and low temperatures and chemicals). Spine Jimping notch on the back of the handle increases grip reliability even with wet hands. A wire clip (left / right) allows you to move the folder in a tip-up position. The handle is finished with an enlarged polished finger ring made of hard anodized aluminium. The ring makes it easy to quickly rotate the folder around the finger located in the head opening, allowing to perform traditional techniques with a knife.
