Multifunctional injection-moulded base made of impact-resistant ABS plastic. Specially designed holes hold the abrasive bars at an ideal angle of 40° (20 degrees per side) to ensure sharp, durable edges. Star-shaped holes in the base allow rods to be rotated to take advantage of clean, as yet unused abrasive surfaces or to set rod angles to sharpen serrated edges. An integrated guard protects the hand from injury during sharpening.
Ceramic sharpening rods - white, oval FINE grade aluminum oxide rods. Designed for sharpening and smoothing of cutting edges.
Sharpening instruction:
Thanks to the unique shape of rods, the Gauntlet Select set will quickly sharpen every edge. To sharpen the knife, guide the edge of the blade along the bar vertically from top to bottom. The angle of the bar allows you to sharpen both sides alternately. Use the bar angles to sharpen toothed blades. Finally, carefully clean the rods and the edge of the knife.
