This is due to its thick consistency, and the wide jet from the conical nozzle allows you to increase the field of fire, while reducing the time in which the gas reacts.

The substance responsible for the incapacitating effect is capsaicin, and more precisely in the container there is a 10% OC (oleoresin capsicum) solution with 2% MC (Major Capsaicinoids) with a sharpness of 2 million SHU on the Scoville scale.
