The Walther Compact hatchet by Umarex is a compact hatchet with a total length of only 228 mm and weighing 280 g , perfect for chopping and cutting wood in order to obtain materials for a fire or shelter.
The material of the ax head is wear-resistant stainless steel 440C . The handle is made of polymer , thus shifting the center of gravity to the front.
Multifunctional axe
Walther Compact has a blade 70 mm long, its rounding allows for both chopping and cutting. The hatchet can also be used as a hammer, and the cut-out in the head makes it a perfect tool for planing or skinning.
The hole is also located in the handle, which allows for the installation of a safety rope against falling out. The set also includes a nylon sheath, thanks to which the ax can be safely transported by mounting it at waist, or in backpack
