Rubicon Flex tactical shorts from M-Tac. A special 4-Way Stretch fabric was used in their production, which is a combination of nylon (85%) and spandex (15%). This solution allows the fabric to stretch in any direction regardless of the forces encountered. This means that the pants can work with the wearer's movements, which will come in handy during high physical activity or overcoming difficult terrain.
The Rubicon Flex shorts base their design on the full-size model with the main difference being shorter legs. Nevertheless, they have most of the solutions used in that variant. The shortened leg length will come in handy when spending time in a hot climate or zone, where increased breathability will be an invaluable advantage. In addition, like other pieces of clothing from the Rubicon line and these shorts are impregnated with a water repellent layer.
The various pockets are divided into open and closed with YKK zippers. The user has a dedicated slim pocket for carrying tools with a retaining clip or simply a pen. The belt loops are widened which allows for easy insertion of a carabiner. The zipper opening has a separate fabric insert to cover the zipper, and it clips into place with two press studs.
