The Stout FLK is a sturdy, compact and comfortable folding knife. It is characterized by high durability and very good balance. The knife has a solid Frame Lock, which very effectively prevents the blade from closing spontaneously. This makes the knife safer to use, even in activities requiring high pressure.
Made by specialists
The knife was created as a result of cooperation between specialists from the SOG company and the Danish knifemaker Mikkel Willumsen. The goal was to create a tool that is elegant, light and adapted to the most difficult tasks.
The knife blade is made of D2 tool steel after cryogenic heat treatment, with Stone Wash finish. Thanks to this coating, the scratches formed during operation blend in with the background. The blade has a hardness of Rc. 58-60.
The Clip Point shaped blade has a smooth cutting edge and a notched back to give a firm hold to the thumb. There is also an opening on it that facilitates its opening, and at the same time serves as a relief opening. The cutting edge ensures smooth cutting, long-lasting sharpness and easy sharpening. The blade has an indentation at the base to support the index finger.
Safe and durable lock
Frame Lock blockade is based on a spring plate made of stainless steel, which is an integral part of the grip structure. This element has a considerable thickness and has no weak point, which is usually the place of assembly to the structure. As a result, it has high durability and very reliably protects the blade against self-folding and possible injury to the user.
One side of the handle is made of stainless steel and the other is clad with G10 lightweight glass epoxy laminate, olive green color. The panel is light and resistant to mechanical damage, temperature and moisture. Thanks to the non-slip texture, the grip is more secure, even when the hands are wet or muddy. A contoured notch improves comfort, serving as a support for the finger.
