The folding knife from Benchmade is a tool made of CPM-S30V stainless steel hardened between 58-60 HRC. It is a steel with high vanadium and carbon content, making the knife stand out for its abrasion and corrosion resistance. It will work well for everyday use as an EDC knife.
The smooth Drop Point profile blade is characterized by a convex slope of the back towards the tip and a pronounced curve of the belly. The back of the spine features transverse frets and texturing, allowing you to grip the knife more securely with your whole hand. The double-sided peg opening mechanism is convenient for both right- and left-handed users.
Instant unfolding of the blade is made possible by an internal spring, which activates when the peg is lifted. The tool has an Axis Lock, which increases work safety and prevents accidental folding during use. On the back of the handle is a slider responsible for an additional mechanism to secure the blade. To sharpen the knife, use a proven knife sharpener.
The liners are made of Richlite, which is easy to clean. It is a material created from a compressed mixture of natural pulp and recycled paper saturated with resin. A hole in the back of the tang allows paracord to be woven in. The knife has a double-sided, wide and high-set clip that allows the folder to be carried in a backpack or pants pocket.
